Attention Surgery Patients
Patients scheduled for surgery are admitted through the Ambulatory Services Department. The admitting nurse reviews patients' medical histories and allergies and also answers questions patients might have to help put them at ease.
Patients recover in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit. Once they are alert and pain is under control, they are moved back to the Ambulatory Services area where they complete their recovery.
