Emergency Care, Focused on You
Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital offers a collaborative care model of staffing providers in the Emergency Department and as Hospitalists, using the services of Integrity Healthcare Professionals. They are the providing physician services in the Emergency Department and as the Hospitalist. With team of healthcare providers committed to quality, patient-focused care, we are now able to have full-time/24-hour coverage in our Emergency Department.
Our Emergency Services include:
- Care for practically all emergency situations
- Ability to stabilize rare cases that require transport to other facilities
- Eleven patient rooms
- Three negative-pressure rooms used to help control the spread of infectious diseases
- Full-service laboratory services
- Immediate access to radiology examinations for definitive diagnoses
Physician Oversight in Emergency Department
SBAMH has complete local provider oversight in our Emergency Department. Dr. Mark McVay provides Medical Director services to our Emergency Department providers. He provides guidance for the standard-of-care enhancements through chart review and attendance at multi-departmental and provider meetings. There is supplemental provider staff by Integrity Health Professionals. Integrity Health Professionals come to us with extensive experience within community hospitals and are driven by their passion for quality care for patients and their families.
Coordinated Emergency Response
Susan B. Allen works with 911 dispatch, fire-rescue, EMS and other agencies to coordinate care throughout the region, reducing response times and starting treatment fast. Threats to your health and life can happen quickly. You can trust that in those stressful times, Susan B. Allen and an entire network of highly trained responders and caregivers stands ready to help.
